Open race

Have fun!

Again this year, each and every MTB fan will be allowed to live the Houffalize Bike Festival from the inside by taking part to the open race of Saturday the 14th of April starting at 16.30.
This one will take place on a 13km long track, which takes over some of the most typical spots of the historical World Cup track: “end of town” climb, downhill at Fosse d’Outh, St-Roch climb, climb of the “Thier des Nutons”, “Pierreuse” downhill, … Many legendary trails where some of the most glorious pages of the history of the World Cup in Houffalize have been written!

Who can take part?

The Open race is open to any biker (m/f), licensed or not, who do not take part to the World Cup.

Categories

There will be 7 categories in relation to the date of birth. They are as follows:

- Men Elite/U23
- Masters 1
- Masters 2
- U17
- Juniors
- Women U23
- Women Elite/Masters.

Number of laps to go:

- Men Elite/U23, Masters 1, Masters 2, Juniors Women Elite/Masters: start loop + 2 laps
- U17, Women U23: start loop + 1 tour

Start and Finish

- Starts will be given in front of the City Hall in direction of the street St-Roch, starting at 16.30 with a gap of between 1 and 2 minutes between each category.
There will be no start list, first arrived in the starting box will be first on the start line. The FCWB keeps the right to possibly put some racers on the front line.
The starting boxes will be accessible 50 minutes before the start and the start will be given at the same place.
- The finish line will be placed in front of the sport center.

Prize-money

A prize of a total of 1500€ will be attributed to the racers as detailed on the prize grid attached here.
